The Witness ha fatto il suo esordio pochi giorni fa su Pc e PlayStation 4. L’edizione per computer, si legge su GamesIndustry, è al primo posto nella classifica dei giochi che possono essere trovati in modo illegale su Torrent.
L’autore, Jonathan Blow esprime tutto il suo rammarico attraverso alcuni cinguettii su Twitter.
“Sembra che The Witness sia il gioco numero 1 su un certo popolare sito di Torrent. Purtroppo questo non ci aiuterà a realizzare un altro gioco!”.
Inoltre sembra che Blow stia pensando seriamente ad una protezione DRM cosa che inizialmente aveva voluto scartare. E’ indubbio che in questa situazione, gli autori del gioco stiano perdendo molti profitti. E la scelta di non inserire queste protezioni, una scelta ideologica, purtroppo non stia pagando. Ed è un peccato, aggiungiamo noi sia per la prospettiva, sia per l’occasione sprecata da parte della pirateria. Un mancato buon senso, diciamo, da chi copia ed immette illegalmente sui circuiti i giochi.

@_LarZen_ That might happen on the next game, I don't know! I don't like DRM because I think people should have the freedom to own things
