Il 2017 sta andando piuttosto rapidamente al termine ed ecco che fervono i preparativi per il 7 dicembre. Per quella serata, infatti, ci sarà il gran galà dei The Game Awards 2017, una sorta di “Notte degli Oscar dei Videogiochi”. Sul sito ufficiale dell’evento sono state pubblicate le nominations.

Ci saranno 102 titoli in concorrenza per vincere i primi delle diverse categorie. Per il gioco dell’anno concorrono Horizon Zero Dawn, Persona 5, PlayerUnknown’s Battelground, Super Mario Odyssey e The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo ha raccolto 23 nominations, Sony 15 ed Activision 7. Quattro giochi hanno avuto ben sei candidature: Destiny 2; Horizon: Zero Dawn; Super Mario Odyssey e Breath of the Wild. Sono in tutto 29 le categorie incluse anche quelle dedicate ai migliori titoli eSports, migliori giocatori eSports e migliori team eSpors, un genere mai come quest’anno in vista dopo l’apertura recente del CIO al riconoscimento come disciplina sportiva.

L’anno scorso ad aggiudicarsi l’ambito titolo fu Overwatch.
